Hexagon blanket

Last May, (yes, that's May 09) Jane and I went on a shopping spree at Tjorven. There was a sale on wool yarns from Drops. Which there are every now and again... But, anyway.

Last September (I think...) we started knitting this cardigan (Ravelry link. Garnstudio link here). Jane finished hers this spring, I finished mine this September. Mind you, I have knitted loads of other stuff in between!

And then, this September we started crocheting this blanket, also from Garnstudio. We thought it was going to be real large, because it looked positively grand in the picture, but it turned out not to be... Because of the very heavy yarn (Eskimo), crocheted on 9mm hook (10mm in the pattern), it was pretty quickly done. There are 6 different colour combos, and they're supposed to go in a pattern for the seaming. So, in comes The System.

I'm done seaming now, only got the edging left. It's kept me warm while working on it... :)

Now to figure out what to make from the left overs... I'm thinking maybe some kind of slouchy beret... Any tips?
